Barbarian Scout is a Enemy in Wizard with a Gun.
Background[]
The barbarians of Koleye have split into two tribes; one following Kolanna, the other King Harold. The scouts and gunslingers following Kolanna have taken to the outskirts of Koleye, away from the trunk of the Kolbara tree where King Harold sits upon the gnarled throne.
Characteristics[]
Barbarian Scouts are neutral enemies found throughout The Frozen Wastes. They always spawn accompanied by a Barbarian Grenadier and one or two Vulfs wearing a red collar. Attacking the Barbarian Scout will make them become aggressive to the player, and all allies that spawned with the Barbarian Scout will become hostile as well.
Barbarian Scouts are naturally aggressive to all Cult of Cobalt members, Kingsguard, Royal Vulf and General Magna.
Attacks[]
- Slash
Players that stand very close to the Barbarian Scout will provoke them to slash the player with their greataxe, dealing 212 Cold Damage.
- Lunge and Slash
Players that stand further away will instead provoke the Barbarian Scout to lunge forward first, slashing the player for 212 Cold Damage and also dealing some knockback. Players can be damaged by this knockback if they hit any solid object, enemy or other player.
- Lob Ice
Barbarian Scouts will occasionally throw a block of ice at the player that deals 283 Damage on impact and inflicts whatever it hits with Chill.
- Slam
The Barbarian Scout will slam down their greataxe, dealing 212 Cold Damage to anything standing in a large radius around themself. This attack also inflicts some knockback to whatever it hits.
First Edition unlocks[]
- Reduce Force Impact
Strategy[]
- Barbarian Scout always spawn alongside a Barbarian Grenadier and sometimes one or two Vulf, so players are almost always guaranteed to end up fighting a group unless the Barbarian Scout wanders far away enough from their allies to not alert them.
- Barbarian Scout damage can be reduced by putting on the Reduce Cold Damage Enchantment.
Notes[]
Barbarian Scouts can be chatted to by players and only speak in godstongue, unlike the Fell Uncle though, their speech can actually be translated into legible sentences.
