Burning Bullets are a type of bullet in Wizard With a Gun.
Description[]
A bullet that ignites what it hits with fire.
- Lights targets on fire.
- Makes the object it hits hotter.
Behavior[]
Burning Bullets apply a few seconds of the heat and burning debuff on hit, with each consecutive hit increasing the amount of time burning lasts. These debuffs can spread to nearby, flamable entities, usually by fire spreading the heat debuff to anything close to it, and heat making entities more susceptible to catching fire.
Burning Damage[]
The amount of damage the burning debuff deals is dependent on the amount of fire stacks applied to a target, which itself is dependent on the tier of a bullet. Burning Bullet I can only apply 1 stack of burning, Burning Bullet II can only apply up to 2 stacks, and so on. Burning deals damage roughly twice every second.
| 1 Stack | 8 Heat Damage |
| 2 Stacks | 13 Heat Damage |
| 3 Stacks | 20 Heat Damage |
| 4 Stacks | 30 Heat Damage |
Interactions[]
Heat does not tick down until burning runs out, having the oily debuff from sources such as Oil Bullets will prevent burning from ticking down until oily runs out. and getting the wet debuff from either water tiles or Water Bullets will get rid of burning immediately and cause the heat debuff to tick down much quicker.
Resource Drops[]
Trees, such as Oak Apple trees in The Imperium, will drop Charcoal when destroyed by heat damage. Trees in other areas will drop their respective charcoals, i.e. destroying a Kolbara Root tree will yield Kolbara Charcoal.
Combos and Tips[]
- Oil Bullets are a must-have combo when using Burning Bullets, as it will allow the burning debuff to last much longer. Additionally, applying Napalm Powder to Oil Bullets will increase the damage of Burning Bullets and the burning debuff.
- Burning Bullets can be exceedingly destructive if not handled carefully, it's advisable not to use them around wooden structures and flooring, especially ones built inside the Tower. Using Water Bullets modified with an Increase Area Powder can help put out any unintended fires.
- Dodging while on fire will put out the burning debuff.
Notes[]
- Entities that are burning while inflicted with the oily debuff will burn bright blue flames.
- Water tiles and trails hit by Burning Bullets will begin to boil. This does not damage the player, nor cause water tiles to evaporate (water trails will), however standing in it will make the player warmer.
