Wizard with a Gun Wiki

Lightning Strike Bullets are a type of bullet in Wizard With a Gun.

Description[]

Call down a lightning strike where the bullet lands to deals massive damage.

Behavior[]

Lightning Strike Bullets will call down a lightning strike upon impact, dealing massive damage and causing the bullet to go on a long cooldown. The length of the cooldown can increase or decrease depending on the cooldown modifier of the weapon used. This bullet has no AOE by default and will only hit a single target, it also does not produce electrical arcs, unlike Shocking Bullets.

Entities inflicted with the wet debuff from water tiles or Water Bullets will receive 50% more electricity damage from Lightning Strike Bullets. If the bullet hits a water tile or water trail, the water will become electrified, shocking any entities standing in the water within 10 tiles (10 meters) of the impact point. The damage affected entities receive is dependent on how close they were to the impact point. Electricty that is spreading through water will not produce electrical arcs.

Resource Drops[]

Structures or enemies that drop any kind of metal scrap or ingot will drop charged ingots when destroyed or killed by electricity damage. The type of charged ingot dropped depends on the type of metal dropped, i.e. an enemy that drops Lead Scrap will drop Charged Lead when killed by electricity damage.

Combos and Tips[]

  • Firing Lightning Strike Bullets while standing in water runs the high risk of players damaging themselves due to the long distance the electricity is able to travel in water.
  • Adding powders such as Electrical Arcs will not add electrical arcs to Lightning Strike Bullets.
  • Water Bullets and Lightning Strike Bullets are one of the most powerful combos in the game. A popular strategy often used in speedrunning is to have a weapon with Water Bullets on it, followed by multiple wanderbusses loaded with Lightning Strike Bullets.
  • Freezing an enemy with a Freezing Bullet and then shooting them with a multishot Lightning Bullet will yield large amounts of ice chunks from the enemy.

Notes[]

  • Entities that are hit with electricity damage will gain a temporary purple haze over their model. This does not last long and does not mean anything other than that the entity received electricity damage.
